The Specialty Care Access Program at IEHP is pleased to announce that we have 153 primary care clinics live with eConsult and over 100 specialists reviewing for 39 specialty services. More than 155,000 eConsults have occurred already.
We want to acknowledge the efforts that our primary care and specialty teams at Riverside University Health System (RUHS), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC), and Inland Empire direct contracted clinics have put forth in expanding the scope of care for Inland Empire patients.

What is eConsult?
Short for "electronic consultation," eConsult is a virtual care process that enables Primary Care Providers (PCPs) to message Specialists regarding patient care and the need for specialty referral. A secure web-based application facilitates this message exchange, allowing specialists to respond, usually within a day, to PCPs’ questions.
