Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC), in partnership with Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP), offers PCPs greater access to specialists and specialty care resources for improved treatment and management of all their patients, not just IEHP members! All referrals to ARMC specialty clinics are done through the online portal.

Why e-referrals (eCRM)?

ARMC has been working the last few years to make the specialty referral process to is clinics a better experience for everyone—providers and patients. In 2020, ARMC launched a portal that allows all the necessary information for specialty referrals—medical records, authorization letters, etc.—to be submitted online. No more faxes! You can track the referral through all the steps—submission, review, acceptance, and scheduling—and have a chance to make corrections or provide any missing information. The portal also allows messaging between your team and ARMC Referral Center and Specialty Clinics, reducing the need to make calls to find out what is happening to your referrals. Plus, we listened to your feedback about follow-up, and the system will provide notes from the ARMC specialty provider back to the referring clinic, so you know what happened during the patient’s visit and next steps.
